The NewDEL™ BB (broadband) product series has been developed for spectroscopy applications and comprises two white LED sources (W4270 and W5790) offering distinct colour temperatures and Colour Rendering Indexes (CRIs), along with a broadband phosphor-coated 365nm LED continuum source (X3312) providing 300nm to 1100nm output.
Like all other members of the product family, each NewDEL BB model comes equipped with its own driver and microcontroller circuitry, offering three options for configuration and control.

For applications where the 365nm peak of the NewDEL-X3312 is not required, or is problematic, it is suggested that a UV-blocking long pass filter is used. We recommend the Schott GG395 filter which can be used to reduce the 365nm peak to provide a balanced 350-1100nm spectrum. LumeDEL's FH32A filter holder can be used to achieve this - in combination with two (input and output) FC37H High-OH silica fibre patch cords.
Applications
- Spectroscopy: Industrial acceptance testing, materials research, process control
- Spectral reflectometry: Colourimetry, Thin film metrology, Plasma processing endpoint detection
