SemiNex Multichip ModulesWe offer multimode laser diodes from SemiNex Corporation and LDX Optronics, Inc.

 

LDX Optronics offer a very broad range of high power single emitter multimode laser diodes from 405nm to 1900nm and are particularly well-placed to support projects requiring non-standard or "esoteric" wavelengths.

 

SemiNex manufacture high power multimode Fabry-Perot laser diodes across a wavelength range of 1240nm to 2400nm, with standard products between 1310nm and 1940nm. 

 

SemiNex Triple Junction Near FieldSemiNex's proprietary "Triple Junction" 1550nm Fabry-Perot multimode laser technology combines three monolithic semiconductor laser junctions that produce over 100 Watts peak power at 1550nm and pulsed conditions.Aperture widths of 50μm, 95μm, 180μm, and 350μm are offered in combination with standard cavity lengths of 1.5mm and 2.5mm.

 

With a low operating voltage, these lasers deliver three times the optical power of a standard single junction laser diode with 1W/A slope efficiency. Wall Plug Efficiency (WPE) at high drive current is twice that of comparable laser diodes.


All of the multimode laser diodes we offer are available with a wide choice of package options - bare die, chip-on-carrier, open heatsink, hermetic and fibre-coupled with options such a thermoelectric cooling, collimating optics and monitor photodiodes.

 

SemiNex "laser engine-Q"

 In addition to supplying at the chip and packaged level, SemiNex also have a fully-integrated "Laser Engine" platform designed for manufacturers of high volume medical and other low-cost hand-held applications. The laser engine system includes a high-efficiency diode laser, optional cooling fan, and focusing lens. It is designed to disperse as much heat as possible to allow for longer operating periods with a high-efficiency radial heat sink shell for convection cooling.

 

The "Laser Engine-Q" platform is extremely compact at 40 mm long and 25 mm diameter. It is inexpensive to assemble and has ultra-high volume capabilities, a high power output, large dynamic power range, and great efficiency.

 

By shrinking laser technology to a size small enough to fit in one’s hand and offering an off-the-shelf, yet configurable, device, the laser engine removes many of the technical challenges for companies looking to enter the consumer laser marketplace.
