We supply high performance LED-based light sources for hyperspectral imaging applications offering many advantages compared with lamp-based light sources including:-
- Ability to specify individual LED wavelengths
- Individual control of each wavelength in array
- Pulsing / synchronisation with camera
- Improved lifetime
Adaptive Lighting have two standard configurations - a scalable line source "HS Line Light" (HSLL) and a fibre-coupled platform "InFiber HS" (IFHS).
The Hyper Spectral Line Light is a precisely engineered illumination system designed to produce an ultra high intensity, uniform and narrow beam of illumination making it ideal for Hyper spectral line scan applications.
The HSLL source is comprised of a robust machined anodised aluminium mechanical unit housing 480 LED chips in an ultra high density chip-on-board array providing best-in-class uniformity and intensity. The typical wavelength range for HSLL is ~950nm to ~1650nm, mimicking a Tungsten lamp output, but can be optimised for individual applications across a very broad range of 270-3000nm.
Integrated control electronics provide precise driving and monitoring of the 480 LEDs via Ethernet and a logical Graphic User Interface (GUI). The HSLL can also be controlled by external strobe and analogue input for intensity control where the maximum peak irradiance of the HSLL makes it perfect for high speed applications. Various optical configurations are available for specific beam widths and intensity distributions.
The InFiber HS system combines narrow emitting band 700 to 1500nm LEDs with state of the art chip-on-board LED technology, guaranteeing best in class efficiency and lifetime.
The IFHS's zoned circular LED array provides maximum uniformity across all fibre bundle sizes and each module features advanced air-cooled thermal management and robust anodised Aluminum 6061 T6 housings.
Closed loop feedback technology constantly monitors optical output, ensuring stability and repeatability whilst the Graphic User Interface (GUI) allows the user to control intensity and monitor optical and electrical parameters.
