OtO Photonics' SideWinder Series of Czerny-Turner cavity spectrometers are specifically designed for operation in the near infrared region.
The SideWinder range is divided into four product families dependent on wavelength range and thermal management options:-
SW25xx: 900-1700nm wavelength range with a choice of 128-, 256- and 512-pixel non-cooled sensor.
SW28xx: Single-stage TE-cooled 900-1700nm operation with a choice of 256- or 512-pixel sensor.
SW2930: Two-stage TE-cooled 910-2200nm spectral range with a 256-pixel extended-response sensor.
SW29xx: Two-stage TE-cooled 900-2500nm spectral range with options of 256- or 512-pixel extended-response sensor.
The TE-cooled SideWinder models may be specified with an optional shutter which may be controlled via OtO's SpectraSmart spectral measurement software or by customer's own code. The shutter allows users to take dark spectra measurements and so improve accuracy of the dark background removal. These models (SW2860S, SW2870S, SW2930S, SW2960S and SW2970S) are the recommended versions.

Each SideWinder model is offered with a number of options using standard gratings and this range is increasing. Customers can specify the slit width to optimise the Resolution/Sensitivity compromise. These are shown below but please contact us if you don't find the exact configuration you require.

When selecting the slit width bear in mind that although a narrower slit improves the FWHM resolution it will also reduce the signal into the spectrometer cavity and so has lower sensitivity.
