SE LogoOtO Photonics' SmartEngine (SE) Series of compact Czerny-Turner spectrometers can be specified with a huge range of configurations based on a choice of:-

 

  • 8 standard sensors
  • 7 standard gratings
  • 6 standard slit sizes

 

When specifying the correct configuration of SmartEngine for your application we suggest you start by defining the spectral range and resolution you require - this will enable selection of the appropriate grating and slit.

 

OtO's 7 standard gratings are highlighted in RED in the table below but all of the formats in the table are available to order. For each grating we show the achievable Resolution over the stated operating range (Bandwidth) within the Factory Selectable BandSpectral Bandwidth - thus enabling the combination of Grating and Slit to be identified.

 

When contacting APT please advise the desired wavelength operating range, for example the 600groove/mm gratings have a 670nm bandwidth which can be factory set within a 180nm to 1100nm range so you could specify 180-850nm, 200-870nm, 430-1100nm etc. and then select the apppriate Slit for the FWHM Resolution you require.

Having established the combination of grating and slit it is then necessary to choose the optimum sensor for your application. OtO offer SmartEngine with 8 standard sensors - each providing a combination of characteristics. SmartEngine's standard model numbers and associated sensors are shown below along with the suggested standard gratings:-

By combining the choice of grating, slit and sensor it is possible to derive an optimum configuration for your application - OtO also have recommendations for specific applications.

 

For volume opportunities with OEM customers OtO also develop bespoke configurations with custom gratings and slits along with non-standard sensors, optics and interface connections.
